In the video game industry, we often refer to the truly standout games as system sellers - video games so good, you purchase an entire console just to be able to play them. Depending on your age, the range of system sellers could be anything from the original Mario/Duck Hunt combo and Space Invaders through to Halo 2 and Wii Sports.
But we noticed hardly ever anyone talks about system sellers for VR, despite there being a ton of great options! So, whether you just received a new Meta Quest 3S for the holidays or are looking to jump back into VR, here are eleven games you simply must have.

For Fans Of: Wario Ware, Mario Party, Rhythm Heaven
Schell Games dropped this social party game right before the holidays in 2024. After each mini-game, the whole party gets brought together to a shared space to sit between rounds and just hang out. Party Versus replicates the feeling of sitting around the television playing Mario Party with your friends, adds the goofiness of Wario Ware as you jam cupcakes into your mouth, but is way more active than a Jackbox or similar online party game.

For Fans Of: Wii Sports
Resolution Games nailed that feeling of booting up your Wii for the first time to play with your family with Home Sports. Home Sports replicates that experience in VR, making every badminton racket swing and hockey slapshot work perfectly so this never feels like a game, but an extension of the sport you love. We also love how they make each sport just arcade-y enough to bring out the fun, such as the hockey experience combining with elements of air hockey to make the game completely unique.

For Fans Of: GoldenEye, TF2, Valorant
Yeah, this dev is so good we had to add them twice. The guns feel great (even the starter revolvers are a blast to use), combat is just the right blend of arcade and tactical, and the campaign is a blast to play through.
The real strength here, however, is the multiplayer. Now, your room becomes the actual deathmatch arena, potentially turning an entire floor of your house or half of your office into the battleground. Spatial Ops multiplayer gives you that elusive GoldenEye feeling of having fun shooting your friends around a shared experience, and the team games make you feel like you're playing paintball or airsoft with friends while staying in your comfy clothes.
